October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the talent, ingenuity, and resilience of millions of people with disabilities who strengthen our workforce every single day.

But awareness alone isn’t enough.

Barriers, physical, digital, and systemic, still stand where opportunity should be. And the truth is, those barriers never should have existed in the first place.

The Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work program helps people with disabilities find meaningful employment while maintaining access to benefits during their transition to work. It connects participants with free support services, including career counseling, job placement, and training opportunities to promote long-term financial independence.

At AADJ, we believe in a future where access isn’t conditional, where ability isn’t questioned, and where opportunity isn’t reserved for a few. We’re pushing for a world that recognizes talent without bias, values contribution without hesitation, and ensures that no one has to fight twice to prove their worth.
